Ulcerative Colitis

Ulcerative colitis is one form of inflammatory bowel disease. It affects anywhere from a portion of the colon to the entire colon. It has no known cause. Surgery to remove the colon is seen by some as a cure for ulcerative colitis, though this cure forever changes one’s life and will never return one to normal. According to the CCFA, ulcerative colitis affects over 700,000 Americans.
