Ostomy Lifestyle just released their video of the 2011 underwear and swimwear show. These people show that you can still be confident in yourself and your body in spite of having an ostomy. For those of you facing surgery, or feeling down because of your ostomy, hopefully these smiling faces give you the inspiration and hope you need to feel comfortable with your ostomy.
Maggie from Let’s Talk IBD just released a series of videos reviewing various Comfizz ostomy support products. The underwear, belts, and wraps are designed to keep the ostomy bag firmly in place throughout the day or during physical activity. Comfizz is a UK-based company but does ship products worldwide.
In full disclosure, Maggie says she was supplied the products by Comfizz and paid to make the videos.
If you have questions about these products, please contact Maggie and not us, as we have not used any of these products.
Ostomy Lifestyle has a couple new videos featuring young men with ostomies, Jimmy and David. Both of their stories are very different, but they are both leading successful lives now in spite of their ostomies. The underwear and swimwear show has happened and pictures aren’t up yet, but probably will be available soon at Ostomy Lifestyle.
A chance of pace today, this video from Ostomy Lifestyle features a man, Andrew, telling his story about his ostomy and why he is participating in the upcoming underwear and swimwear show. He’s done some very interesting things with his life following ostomy surgery.
Yet another video from Ostomy Lifestyle featuring a model from their upcoming underwear and swimwear show. Annie’s attitude toward her stoma, that she really doesn’t care what people think or who sees it, is encouraging. Her testimony shows that life can go on just as before after ostomy surgery.
Ostomy Lifestyle is getting ready for another underwear and swimwear show. This video tells the story of one of the models, Lisa, and how she feels about her ostomy, especially displaying it in public.
The show will take place November 2 in Birmingham. If any of our UK viewers are interested, you can find more information here.
Earlier this week I introduced you to the group Ostomy Lifestyle based out of the UK. They had their first ostomy fashion show recently, featuring models proud of their ostomies.
They have a new video up interviewing one of the models of that show, Krystal Weir. Krystal has Crohn’s disease and has lived with an ostomy for three years now. Watch her video to see that it is possible to enjoy life in spite of an ostomy. Being comfortable in your skin is exactly what I’m talking about with the Gutbending Declaration.
Ostomy Lifestyle is an ostomy support group based out of Reading, Berkshire in the United Kingdom. One of their main projects is Careline, a telephone service offering support for those going through ostomy surgery.
Recently the group put on a lingerie and swimwear show for people with ostomies. I’ve posted the video from the event for you to see. Hopefully it will show everybody, especially women, that you can be confident and live a happy life in spite of your ostomy.
