Hey Everyone,
I wanted to say thank you to those who have donated their ostomy supplies to Haiti. The ostomy supply donations have been pouring in! I am taking donations all year round–Each October the supplies are sent with doctors and nurses to Haiti. So, don’t stop!!!! Keep them coming. If you have unused, new ostomy supplies that you no longer need make sure to consider sending them for a great cause.

Team Challenge PSA

The Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America has a new spot out for Team Challenge, their highest tier fundraising event. If anybody thinks they have the strength to walk/run a half marathon, please consider this great opportunity! You won’t regret it!

This year, the Team is running Las Vegas on December 5.

Also new this year is Team Challenge Cycle, a 50-mile bike race on September 19 in beautiful Ontario.

Take Steps 2010

This year Team UCVlog raised over $1500 for Crohn’s and Colitis Research that goes toward finding a cure! The CCFA held the walk at Lake Nokomis, Minneapolis, Minnesota On May 23rd, 2010. Participating on our team were: Nadia, Dennis, Nadia’s mom Shannon, Dennis’ Dad Ray, Nadia’s Brother Nyle, and Nadia’s cousin Courtney. All in All, it was a great event and the CCFA raised nearly $150,000 in just one walk!! That’s very impressive! We want to thank everyone who supported us and donated to this walk! Hey everybody, in less than a week Nadia and I will be participating in the Minneapolis Take Steps walk. If you are in favor of cutting edge research into a cure for inflammatory bowel disease, consider donating to our team! All of this money goes to the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America, none to us.

Take Steps Update: $1,210!

Hey everybody, I’m sure you are sick of being reminded about this, but in 3 weeks Nadia and I will be participating in the Minneapolis, MN Take Steps walk! If anybody is in the area and is attending that walk, please let us know so that we can meet you!

As you know, we are raising money for the CCFA. All of the money raised goes to the CCFA (none to us) and is mostly used for research into inflammatory bowel disease, to find better treatments and one day a cure!

Our goal once again is $2,000. It’s mighty imposing but last week we raised over 20% of that money! At this rate we will surpass our goal by the walk on May 23!

So you know what to do by now. If you support IBD research (and why wouldn’t you?) and you have gotten some useful information out of this site, consider donating safely here on our Take Steps page.

No donation is too large!

Hey everybody, 27 days until the United Colon Vlog takes part in the Minneapolis CCFA’s Take Steps Walk! Once again, Nadia and I are doing all we can to raise money for the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation. The money raised goes to fund research projects into discovering what exactly causes inflammatory bowel disease and how it can be cured. Now, we know a lot of you have miles of medical bills and money is tight in the household. But a little money invested in research today might one day cure IBD in somebody else…maybe even you, too! There’s a lot of work to be done and we know the situation seems hopeless sometimes. But we can make it through!

So, if you can spare a few dollars, head over to our to our team’s page to donate securely online. Any little bit helps.

Hey everybody, I just wanted to update you on the progress our Take Steps team has made so far. We’ve currently collected $460 in donations, almost 25% of our goal of $2,000.

Nadia and I have been hard at work the last few days doing all kinds of stuff for the site. As you can see if you peruse the pages, we’ve added pictures throughout the site and the Facebook page.

Here’s the new promo video for our Take Steps team. As we’ve been telling you the past few weeks, we have a team that is raising money for the CCFA. If you’ve been meaning to donate to our team and have been putting it off, now is a great time to donate! Just follow this link to donate easily and securely online.
