Nadia’s in the hospital again
September 7, 2009Hey everybody, Nadia was doing fairly well with her J-pouch for about six months. Then she had some complications. Most recently, she spent a week in the hospital after watching her J-pouch get sick (bloody stools, all that fun stuff).
They did a pouchoscopy and found some slight inflammation and ulcers developing. This video covers most of her time in the hospital, right before she starts college for the first time. She has yet to make a video describing the treatment plan for her J-pouch problems but hopefully it isn’t a serious issue.
Nadia’s fighting through it all,
~Dennis

I was doing an extensive search on UC and Crohn’s when i found this site.My husband and i both suspect that he is suffering from either one but is not diagnose yet.The GI told him it was virus at first but since he still bleeding and having severe cramps,we both doubt that it is “just bugs”.
When i saw Nadia’s video,i just cant help but feel so sad for this stranger.I am sure it is as hard on her family as it is for her and i wish her a speedy recovery and hopefully, miraculously, she will be able to lead a normal and healthy live again.
It is not easy living with this chronic illness since my husband and i both believe that he is in the first stages of this disease.Anyways, thank u for sharing the experience and posting the video.
Dennis & Nadia -
You guys are amazing! I found this site and your videos on Youtube just recently as I am preparing to undergo the first part of my surgery on Nov 3 – they have been extremely helpful and positive to me at such a confusing time – I am so hopeful for a life free from this disease (by the way, I’m a 41 year old married mom with a four year year old son) yet extremely nervous about my ability to adapt to all the changes – most of all, I’m scared to think that somehow my decision will make my quality of life worse. Thanks again for putting it all out there for the rest of us, and I hope that you are both doing well – Nadia, my thoughts and prayers are with you – I so hope you are feeling better and are enjoying your college classes!
