		<description><![CDATA[My colectomy was not done laproscopically but with the vertical incision that is mentioned. It starts about 3-4 inches above my belly button, proceeds around the belly button stalk, and then back to the middle abdomen line and down another 4 inches or so to the pubic bone. The incision has since healed, surgery being 8 years ago, leaving a white/red incision mark with little or no raised/indentation contours. I still get itchiness associated with nerve regrowth around the incision occasionally.
