I am going to have colostomy next January or February 2011. Your videos are helping me a lot to answer questions from the patient point of view. I have 56 years, live in Puerto Rico and was diagnosed with UC on 1999. On Prednisone, ASACOL, Zantac and Levsin. I have to quit my job as Certified Fraud Examiner because UC flares where so painful I was having recurrent to vaso vagal syncope, and heart problems. The syncope is the worst. I go in a complete knockout (in the middle of bowel movements)and have several injuries (not to mention the mess) because of this. My husband goes to the bathroom with me no matter where we are. So, decided to have my colon removed. I hope to improve our life quality. Your videos are the best I found at the Internet. My surgeon is a colon rectal surgeon, young and with a positive attitude. I met some of his patients and they are so happy of the results!
