Hi Adam,
That's rough having so little preparation for surgery. But sometimes it seems its better when people are forced into surgery because then they don't overthink it. What a shock, though, to learn about how to live with an ileostomy after the fact. Good luck on the next surgery!

I found out about 10 minutes before surgery that I needed surgery. I was in the hopsital for about two weeks prior with my third ever flare-up. Just figured I needed time and Asacol to heal. But I guess my colon was on the verge of perforating, right then and there. The craziest thing is, I didn't know the ostomy was a temporary thing until AFTER my surgery. So I had gone into it thinking it would be permanent.

Anyway, my takedown is May 20th and I use this Web site to find some tricks of the trade from an experienced J-poucher! Thanks for all your info Dennis. You're an inspiration. Keep vlogging and I'll keep watching!
