Scratching your ileostomy
February 11, 2009Having an itch under your ileostomy barrier can be a major source of frustration, almost as bad as having an itch under a cast. For anybody who has ever had this problem, check out this video. I can’t guarantee that I can teach you how to satisfy all your itches, but at least I can let you know what NOT to do. I’ve made many mistakes trying to scratch my ileostomy, mistakes that resulted in a broken and leaky barrier.
