Stoma feelings and sounds
October 23, 2008Stomas are tricky little things. Not only do they expel your waste, but they do it so that you can feel it and hear it. They can be quite irritating at times but also fun and humorous. Some people name their stomas. I don’t do such things.

Question: How does your stoma act?
Another informative triumph! I actually haven’t tried pressing down on the bag to stem the flow of gassy noise he he Good idea. Usually when I get the BRRRRRT I have to giggle and say, “It wants to put in its two cents.”
I also haven’t named my stoma. We’re not really friends…ha ha
I’ve named him – Lil’ Stomy! He also had a personality…he is usually angry.
A friend of mine had a freak accident with her colon this summer and has a temporary colostomy bag. In private, we occasionally refer to them as “the little sh*tbag.”
